Coronavirus Update: Worship services and gatherings

Please see the communication from Rev. Jeremy Smith concerning our services and events going forward with regards to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Jesus Christ is Lord!

I recognise the need to communicate with you briefly.

Much has been broadcast in the media in the past few weeks about the Covid 19 virus, you might be feeling overwhelmed with the incessant talk.

A lot of information has been disseminated, some of which may have been helpful but unfortunately some of these stories have been merely fabricated scaremongering.

As you know, the president Cyril Ramaphosa has now declared a national crisis due to this virus; that gives him and his team additional powers (and access to more funds) to deal with the societal situation as he sees fit.

We must all do our part but we are called to respond as Christ surely would.

This is the perfect time to share the hope that we have in the indestructible life in Jesus Christ.

Please be assured that the Pinetown Session is in a process of discernment and deliberation to determine how we can continue to faithfully worship our Lord and prudently observe all reasonable measures to prevent the spread of this virus.

I trust you will be notified before the end of this week of the decisions and protocols that we intend to implement and enforce.

In the meantime please meditate on 1 Peter 1:13-25 and 2 Peter 1:3-11

Yours in Christ Jesus
Jeremy
